No, you can only apply via the online portal of the Foundation’s website.
4When is the deadline for the Scholarship application?
The application window closes on the 28th of August, 2023. Students are encouraged to submit their applications well in advance of the deadline.
5Can I submit my application after the deadline?
No applications will be received or processed after the deadline.
6Do I need to make any payment to facilitate my application?
This scholarship scheme is strictly based on merit and the selection criteria. You should not patronize anyone in cash or kind.
7Can I make changes to my application?
No changes are permitted once the application has been submitted.
Multiple applications are not permitted
8Who is eligible for the YBC-2003 Scholarship Award?
Full time 200 level Nigerian students studying Medicine or Dentistry in the University of Lagos
9If I am a beneficiary of another scholarship scheme, should I still apply?
No. You are not eligible to apply for this scholarship scheme. Each undergraduate is expected to benefit from only one scholarship scheme. Current beneficiaries of any other scholarship schemes or bursaries, including International Oil and Gas scholarship schemes and state bursary schemes, are excluded.

No, there is no age restriction
11Will I receive confirmation of the receipt of my application?
Yes you will. An automated email acknowledging the receipt of your application will be sent to you once you submit your online application form. As your email provider may see this confirmation email as spam, please check your junk or spam folder for an email sent by info@themedicusfoundation.org
12Can I amend my application after submitting?
No. You will not be able to amend your applications after submission. Carefully review your application before submitting.
13What documents do I need to submit with my application?
- Recent passport photo
- Senior Secondary Certificate of Education SSCE
- UTME result
- JAMB/University Admission Letter
- First Year result showing CGPA.
- Letter of recommendation from two professional persons of good standing, one of which must be a graduate of the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos.
- Signed Probity Statement
14Can I Submit my documents later?
No. You cannot submit your documents at a later time. You cannot submit your application until you have successfully uploaded all required documents. After the deadline, the portal closes and no applications or document upload will be possible.
15What is the maximum size and image format f the passport photograph and other required documents?
Each document size should not be more than 200KB and the image format for your pass-port must be in JPEG, other files must be in Word Document.
16Where can I submit my passport photograph and other documents?
All documents and photographs should be submitted within the application form.
