Ebube Chinweuba-Onoh

Ebube is a passionate medical student at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, with a strong interest in healthcare advocacy, leadership, and community development. She actively participates in initiatives promoting gender equality, disease prevention, and public health education.

She is a member of Junior Chamber International Nigeria (JCIN UNILAG), where she engages in impactful service projects, leadership training, and community-driven initiatives.

Ebube aspires to work with global health institutions like the United Nations, using her medical expertise and leadership skills to influence healthcare policy and practice. In her free time, she enjoys reading, engaging in intellectual discussions, and exploring innovative solutions to healthcare challenges.

Israel Ngbor

Israel is a medical student with a deep passion for healing. He fondly refers to medical practitioners as "fixers," a term that reflects his commitment to finding lasting solutions to global health challenges.

Fascinated by the complexities of the heart, Israel aspires to become a cardiothoracic surgeon, driven by the desire to tackle the many cardiovascular conditions affecting people worldwide. His keen interest in medicinal chemistry fuels his ambition to contribute to research on the effects of drugs on heart health. Ultimately, he hopes to be part of a team developing innovative treatments for cardiovascular diseases.

Beyond medicine, Israel enjoys immersing himself in sci-fi and fantasy novels, exploring poetry, and listening to music.

Clement Odike

Clement is a dedicated and ambitious medical student at the University of Lagos. A proud alumnus of King's College Lagos, he upholds a strong tradition of excellence, discipline, and intellectual growth.

With a deep passion for medicine and a strong sense of emotional intelligence, Odike aspires to become a skilled doctor who blends precision, empathy, and expertise to make a lasting impact in healthcare. His commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement drives him forward, shaping his journey in the medical field.

Beyond academics, he enjoys good music, gaming, engaging in meaningful conversations, and expressing his creativity through graphic design. He firmly believes in the power of hard work and consistency—principles that have guided his success and continue to shape his aspirations for the future.

Olanlesi Adegun

Olanlesi Adegun

Olanlesi is an inquisitive and dedicated medical student who is passionate about improving the care and treatment of women, and conducting research into the various health issues affecting women physically and mentally.

She is involved in outreach programs like the NiMSA Auwal Shanono Foundation. She is also a part of the student chapter of the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry that is dedicated to improving healthcare for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and intellectual disabilities. She enjoys creative writing, reading books of various genres and watching football.

Oluwaferanmi Bankole

Oluwaferanmi is a medical student with a strong passion for healthcare and the improvement of medical education in Nigeria.

'Feranmi is very determined to play her part in positively impacting the lives of people, a drive she demonstrated when she spearheaded an outreach programme for inpatients of the psychiatry ward of Lagos University Teaching Hospital, and introduced the use of art as a positive outlet.

Apart from her enthusiasm for healthcare, she has eclectic interests, varying from writing and reading to music and cuisine.
Moses Denapo

Moses Denapo

Moses is deeply passionate about enhancing healthcare quality in Nigeria by exploring innovative solutions to address pressing health needs effectively.

With a firm belief in the capacity of technology to simplify life, he is currently immersed in exploring the digital health field, which sits at the intersection of medicine and technology. By integrating technology into healthcare practices, he envisions a more efficient approach to tackling health problems, improving access, and ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

Moses is proud to be a member of the African Digital Health Student Network, where he collaborates with like-minded individuals to further drive progress in this vital area.
Olufunke Fakeye

Olufunke Fakeye

Olufunke's interest in medicine arose from childhood curiosity about human genetics and health disparities. She aspires to specialize in cardiology to understand the intricacies of the heart and improve human health.

Dedicated to community service, she volunteers with a non-governmental organization in Ikorodu, focusing on child abuse awareness and supporting indigent children.

A member of the the Auwal Shanono Foundation, she aims to enhance public speaking skills and contribute to maternal-child healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and singing.

These Scholars are now in 400 Level on a continuing scholarship.

Eseosa Ebuehi

Eseosa Ebuehi

Eseosa is driven by a quest for knowledge and has an interest in improving the care and treatment of cancer patients. He is involved in various medical outreach and health awareness programs in the community.

Eseosa demonstrated leadership skills and abilities when he led a group of fifteen students to emerge as the overall best team in the Information Technology Certification program hosted by the Centre for Information Technology and Systems, University of Lagos.

He has a keen interest in sports, games, and medical research.

These Scholars are now in 500 Level on a continuing scholarship.

Overcomer Olugbenga

Overcomer Olugbenga

Overcomer received her secondary school education at the International School, University of Lagos. She has strong personal and moral values, and desires to make our society a better place by contributing positively. In 2020, she was awarded a certificate for successfully participating as a delegate in International Model United Nations (IMUN) Conference.

Overcomer enjoys singing and playing the violin in her spare time.

Joseph Ikenye

Joseph Ikenye

Joseph is curious-minded, with an enthusiasm for the things he loves. He is passionate about mental health advocacy, and debunking the negative culture of silence, stigma and discrimination experienced by persons affected by mental illness.

Joseph is a member of the Asido Foundation branch in College of Medicine, University of Lagos, focused on creating awareness and educating students on campus about mental health issues. He is currently the assistant Medical Student Association- Local Officer (MSA-LO) for the AMSUL- NiMSA National mental health Advocacy campaign.

Kehinde Gbelee

Kehinde Gbelee

Kehinde’s interest in medicine arose from a personal tragedy, and has since transformed into love for making a difference in people’s lives; she volunteers with several community outreach programs.

She is a part of the media team of the Nigerian Medical Students Association and serves on several committees of the Association of Medical Students.

Kehinde, who has won awards for her writing, is a freelance marketing consultant and manages a personal writing blog. She plans to specialize in women’s health as an obstetrician-gynaecologist, and her vision includes improving the lives of women globally.

Deborah Ojo

Deborah Ojo

Deborah Ojo is a resourceful and dedicated medical student who is passionate about lending a helping hand and being an agent of change in society. She is a young leader and a global health enthusiast who serves under different standing committees in the Nigerian Medical Students Association, and the Association of Medical Students of the University of Lagos. She has been involved in various outreach and health awareness programs.

She is driven by her passion to serve humanity at large and as such, she serves as a volunteer with various non-profit organisations including The NEO Child Initiative, The Lagos Food Bank Initiative, Healthdrive NG, the Initiative For Girls and Women Empowerment and is an alumnus of the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2020. In her spare time, Deborah enjoys Medical Research, cooking, trying new recipes, reading and hanging out with friends.

John Nwokocha

John Nwokocha

John Nwokocha is a medical student who demonstrates leadership and administrative qualities as a class representative. He is active in the Association of Medical Students of the University of Lagos, serving on various key committees and clubs including the Create Club, Mentorship Committee, and the Publicity Directorate.

John is also a proficient visual artist who specializes in making realistic pencil art. He engages with international and local organisations that promote art, as well as those that promote healthcare. He is currently an Arts-in-Medicine (AIM) fellow and a member of the Millennium Campus Network (MCN). John is passionate about the interaction between healthcare and art, and hopes to influence the world positively through art and medicine.

Oluwafemi Oluseye

Oluwafemi Oluseye

Oluwafemi Oluseye is a medical student who chose the medical profession due to a childhood passion for becoming a neurosurgeon, inspired by Dr. Ben Carson's book 'Think Big' which gave him insights into the wonderful workings of the human brain. He also has an interest in sports, music, and academic research, as well as public speaking. He is driven by a strong quest for knowledge and a need to contribute his quota to society.

Oluwafemi is currently involved in research on 'improving health quality by reducing cholesterol levels in staple fatty foods'.
